Doug Campbell Wins Gold and Silver at World Senior Games
Congratulations to Doug Campbell on winning gold in singles and silver in doubles floor shuffleboard at the 2026 Huntsman World Senior Games.
Congratulations to Big Country 55 Plus Vice-President Doug Campbell of Cochrane on an outstanding performance at the 2026 Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah!
Competing in floor shuffleboard in the 75–79 age category, Doug brought home a gold medal in singles and a silver medal in doubles.
His gold medal victory was particularly exciting. After overcoming a 38-point deficit in his semifinal match, Doug found himself trailing by 15 points with just one shot remaining in the championship game. He scored 18 points on that final shot to claim the gold!
This remarkable achievement is a wonderful example of the competitive spirit, determination and active living that Alberta 55 Plus encourages.
